Origin: This family is also known as Hock Von Zweibrucken. This name is from the Zweibrucken area of West Germany. The names Zweibrucken and Palatinate were interchangable. Area includes towns of Webenheim, Hornbach, Scwartzenbach, and Einod. The first enoblement of the family was in 1405 granted by Emperor charles IV.
