Description: My name is Andrea Parrish. I am from Charlottesville, VA. I am looking for information on my father (Phillip Parrish's) side of the family. My great grand parents were Lucien and Nannie Parrish who were both born in VA but I don't know where. Also I don't know Nannie's maiden name. Lucien and Nannie had two son's Lucien Jr. and Robert (my grandfather).
I am told that Lucien Sr. (also known as "Daddy Jack") had a trucking business in Philadelphia. I have also been told that my grandfather Robert, was a mortician. Lucien Sr. worked for the railroad as a porter in Philadelphia and Lucien Jr. worked for the U.S. Postal service.
Lucien Parrish Sr. born approx. 1877 or 1887 died approx. 1947
Nannie Parrish born approx. 1878 or 1888 died 1975
Lucien Jr born 1905 in PA (death date?)
Robert Parrish born in PA 1912 (death date ?)
I have seen my family listed on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses but before 1910 I can't find anything on Lucien Sr. or Nannie Parrish.
