My (Dorothy Jean Angus Aitcheson) father's maternal grandfather,\r\nThomas Parks, Bootmaker, from Ireland, Born circa 1820, died between 1862-1868 in Ontenagon, Mich. Married Mary J Moynahan\r\ncirca 1864-1865.\r\n\r\nMy father's grandfather's wife's father, Ernst Kiefer, from\r\nBaden-Baden, Germany and his wife Magdalina Baerd immigrated to\r\nUS in 1845 to Jackson Township, Cambria County, Penn, near John\r\nstown. Mr. Kiefer was a farmer.\r\n\r\nJames Aitcheson, my husand's great grandfather-paternal-, born in\r\nEdinbourgh, Scotland 1817. Died May 1874 in Baltimore, Maryland.\r\nImmigrated 1825 to Baltimore and was a brass foundryman. Married\r\nRuth Silver McVey in 1842 and resided in Baltimore until his death.\r\n\r\nGeorge S. Broughten, my husband's mother's maternal grandfather,\r\nborn about 1813 (place unkwn) residing Saratoga Springs, NY making his living as a carpenter. He died in Saratoga Springs\r\nabout 1900.\r\nOrigins are New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland.\r\n\r\n |
