Description: We found the Berlin ( Borlean )mis spelled of course, link in Chicago and N.Y. yesterday after 15 years of research ,We are still looking for the Craft * Morehead sides though , possibly stashed in a Maples or Wilson family Bible ~ Mary A.Anderson m. Hamilton Campbell in 1852 after his death in 1872 she remarried and became a Mrs. Calvin Maples and again became a Mrs. Charles Wilson , we are hoping Mary stuffed their family Bible full of info as she did the Campbell family Bible , ( Please go look in yours ) Mary also had possibly 2 brothers Samuel and James who we placed by a letter written in 1895 in Neligh Nebraska and Wyoming ~ Charles Berlin m. Levina Campbell 3/23/1874 and had 1 child John Franklin Berlin , Unbeknownced to us until now we are very happy to tell you he survived a Military career and He married and had 5 children Lennard, Margret, Charles, John & Leroy ,were still working on the exact details through phone calls and E Mail we are very excited about this finding ! The Craft side were reserching is a marraige between Lucinda A.Campbell & Frank Craft in Charloe ,Ohio on 3 /26 /1877 all children if any are unknown so far and the Campbell surname is mis spelled on the marraige certificate ~ as well we are searching for any info on William Campbell m. to Fanny ? on 6/16/1900 ( John Berlin and I both have a JPG in our computers of Fanny's written surname in the Bible but it is to me undecipherable ) it may be Polish or German or something near it seems to end in LIECK~ The McKevitt side is blank and were sure there are people out there who could help fill it in , all we have is a marraige of Joseph Hamilton Campbell and Julia Matilda "Dollie" McKevitt 7 / 26 / 1883 who had 1 child Franklin Blaine Campbell who Married Laura Belle Schindler 3 /4 /1903 and had 1 child Roy Everett Campbell we are searching for the Schindler and Greene side as well , which traces to a George Schindler and Emily Greene or Green marraige ~ ANY info any time would be greatly appreciated !

Daniel J. Kane
Description: Read recently that Whitehead is the 529th most common surname in the United States. Although I am a few generations removed from the surname, I am very interested in finding any or all of my Whitehead-descended cousins. I'm assuming there are thousands of you out there who are descended from William and Elizabeth Whitehead. (Not sure of Elizabeth's maiden name, but it could be Culver or Whitehead.) This couple, both of whom were born in 1800 in England (Yorkshire?, Warwickshire?), emigrated to Somerset County, NJ just before 1820. They were still there as late as 1837, but moved a few counties west in the late 1830s, to Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, PA. Stayed there until late 1850s, when they moved on, with 5 of their 9 children, to Rock County, WI. When William died there in 1868, his widow Elizabeth moved back east to Conshohocken, Montgomery County, PA, and lived there another 20 years, dying in 1888. Are any of you descended from the following 9 children of William and Elizabeth Whitehead? Abraham, b. 1820 in NJ, married Harriett DeHaven of Montgomery Co., PA. William (my ancestor), b. 1822 in CT, married Mary Ann Manley of Philadelphia. John, b. 1820 in Byfield, MA, married Sarah B. Colflesh of Montgomery Co, PA Jane Elizabeth, b. 1828 in NJ, married Charles G. Davis of Conshocken, PA Ralph, b. 1831 in NJ, married Martha Lough of Jersey Co., IL, settled in Rock County, WI. Tunis, b. 1833 in NJ, married Alice Irene Hudson, settled in Rock County, WI Anna Maria, b. 1835 in NJ, married Jacob Knezel of Montgomery Co., PA (a Civil War casualty), settled in Rock and Green Counties, WI. James, b. 1838 in PA, married Mary Frances Barnum of Rock Co., WI Mary Ann, b. 1843 in PA, married James Henry Graves of Chenango Co., NY (a Civil War casualty). With 2 of the couple's first three children (William and John) being born in New England, there is reason to believe they had family, perhaps earlier settlers in Connecticut or Massachusetts.

Description: I am searching for Whiteheads in Kent, England around 1854. My great grandfather, Edward C. Whitehead had at least five siblings. Robert was in Paris about 1898, Susan was in Australia about the same time. I found Edward was in the USA in 1868. He was only 14 Yrs old then, so, he must have come with other family members. He was in Missouri and then settled in Oklahoma while it was still Indian Territory, in 1905.

Moore
Description: Right now I am trying to piece together the Melungeon connection to my Moore and Gibson lines. I am descended from John Moore born circa 1758 in Orange Co., N.C. married Sally Goodman born circa 1760 they married circa 1784 and moved to Floyd Co., Ky. where John died in 1836 and Sally died in 1840.Then their son Joel Moore born circa 1785 in Rockingham, N.C. and married Juda Gibson they moved to Scott Co, Va. where Juda died before 1850 and Joel after 1850. It is probable that John and Sally were also living in Scott Co., Va. before they moved to Floyd Co., Ky. Then Ephraim Moore born 1808 in Scott Co., Virginia and married Jenny McGee born 1810 in Scott Co., Va. They both died there, Ephraim about 1886 and Jenny unknown. Then Dorcas Moore born 1831 in Scott Co., Va. Married John W. Chaney, born about 1835, they moved to Pike Co., Ky. John was in the 22nd Va. Cavalry and was captured and taken to Rock Island Confederate Prison where he died July 29, 1864 leaving Dorcas with 3 small children. Dorcas married later in life to Joseph Hatfield whose 2 sons married 2 of her daughters. Then when Dorcas was in her 40's she and Joseph had twin daughters. I am descended from Dorcas and John Chaney's daughter Louise Chaney and Joseph Hatfield's son Albin Hatfield.

Sarah Campbell Stevens
Description: Looking for other descendants of Richard Milton Campbell (my great great grandfather) who was born in 1809 in Kentucky and died Nov. 17, 1831, in Kentuky (probably Grayson County). He was married to martha Manerva Elder, daughter of Thomas Elder, 1785-1807 of PA and Mary Elder (1785 in VA to 1853 in Grayson County, KY). Son of Richard Milton Campbell, my great grandfather, was Hardin Campbell (April 24, 1851-March 18, 1921) of Grayson Co. KY. My grandfather was Hugh Campbell of KY (Oct. 5, 1900-April 6, 1975) of Sherman, TX. My father, Hugh Wilburn, of Sherman, TX was born March 5, 1923. I would like to trace back beyond Richard Milton Campbell.
Surnames: Campbell, Elder, Hughes, Heady, Ownby, Blackwell, Lewis
