Description: Hello! I have been able to trace my family tree back to Scotland to the middle of the 1600's. The last surname that I have been able to trace is FAIR, and that branch would be my fourth great-grandparents dating back to early 1700's and possibly late 1600?s. Most of my family lived in Berwickshire (Berwick), and Roxburghshire (Roxburgh), Scotland. They could have come from anywhere though, but my guess is that they came from England and Scotland. Anyhow, I would be more than happy to share what I have if anyone is interested in Scotland research! Thank you.

I do not know who he married but he was married twice. With his first wife he had 2 daughters. Hattie Jeanette Taylor (my greatgrandmother)b.1878 d.1962 and Cassie Taylor. Hattie married Charles Rhinholt Friebele. Cassie married an Armstrong first then she married a Word. Taylor's first wife died when Hattie and Cassie were young. With his second wife he had at least one son W. S. Taylor. W. S. was living in Brownwood, TX in 1962 according to Hattie's obiturary. Both Hattie and Cassie lived and are burried in San Angelo, TX.

Description: I have researched the Scotch-Irishe Taylors of Rocky Springs, Laurens County, SC for 40 years.
Robert Taylor's family moved to Franklin County, Indiana in 1806,
Robert H. and brothers, Wlliam and Charles, and cousin, Kennedy Taylor, moved to Bartow County, Ga. in 1853,
John Henry Taylor, Jr. moved his family to Franklin County, Al. in 1883,
William and brother, Henry, moved to Henry County, Ga. in 1838,
Descendants of Charles L. Taylor moved to Texas around 1870's?
I also have a suspicion that some Taylors moved to eastern Tn. around 1810 - 1830s?
These are the movements of which I know from Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church. There are probably others. They moved in groups which usually included Blakely, Templeton, Summeral, Todd, McDowell, McCullum, Speer, Goodwin and others from Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church in Laurens County, SC.
They always moved from their new homes to other places also. I don't know about many of them.
