kim gay
Description: My name is Lesa Gay. I am 53 years old and I am currently living in Reno, Nevada. I was adopted November 30th, 1950 from Iowa Children's Home, DesMoines Iowa to Dale and Betty Walker. The children's home no longer exists. On papers from the home I was only referred to as Baby Kay. My children are both grown, my son has one child and is expecting another. On his wife's side, her Father was also adopted and does not know either his history. My grandson has two grandparents that he will never know anything about if one of us does not try to find out more. My daughter is ready to start her family. They would like to know their heritage and history. I must admit that myself would like to know and of course the records are sealed in Jefferson, Iowa and Iowa will not unseal records.
Yesterday I learned that my Birth Mother's name was Betty Krolick by seeing a very scetchy set of adoption papers I found in my Mother's safe while looking for papers I needed for her. No Father's name was mentioned.
I know very little but would like to know more if possible of my herritage not only for myself but for my children.
I don't know where to go to search and of course would not want my adoptive mother to know I was even considering doing this.
It is my understanding that my birth mother either lived in Chicago or went to Chicago to have me. I had always been told that my Birth Mother died at childbirth but according to the papers I saw yesterday it stated my health and hers as good.
If you have the time to answer this E-mail or if you have any imformation for me, please drop me an E-mail at persephone4444@yahoo.com . Please put in the subject line something that will make me realize that it is you contacting me.
It stated on the papers that I found yesterday that my birth name was Edna Alice Krolick. That is about all I know now that is true. I have been told many stories over the years and do not know what to believe or disbelieve. My daughter did some research and has found some connections between the Brown's and the Krolicks. My adoptive Mother's maiden name was Brown.
Where does the Sir name originate from?
I am sorry if this makes little sense but I am currently going through some very difficlut times with my adoptive Mother and her health and there is a real possiblity that we could loose her soon. My adoptive Father has passed. My adoptive mother is 76 years old.
Got to run. Thank you for you time.
Lesa Gay

Description: John J. Dressel was married to Louise Burns they met on a ship from Europe. He was German and she was from Scotland. He died 1928 and she died 1929 in Albany, New York. My grandmother was Edna Janet b 11/7/1891 d 11/17/1934. My mother's uncle was John J. Dressel b 1/9/1894 d7/22/1977, He married in his 30's. They also had Lydia Louise d at age 21 and Elizabeth she died at birth. They lived on S. Pearl or Alexander Sts. My great gandfather was 1 of 7 children that came to the USA. They all settled in Buffalo, then John moved to Albany. Why he didnt like the weather. The 6 brothers all had trade skills. John was a Butcher. I know of only 1 brother, Wiilliam, mom called him uncle Bill. I found the name Dressel Bros. & Gerheim in the Buffalo free press. I have looked at almost every free sites I can, and can not get many hits on the name Dressel. I have not found anything at Ellis Inland. Passenger list should show 7 Dressel name. I really hate to buy information. I get to the last page and its you can have it for only 29.99 My mothers father was James E. Riley and her mother was Edna Janet Dressel. Which is another whole story. James E. Riley was b3/15/1888 d 12/25/1970 at Walled Lake, Mi. I feel the Dressel's came to the USA some time before 1891. And James E. Riley Sr. came before 1888, I maybe wrong, my grandfather could have been born in Ireland. His mother was Rose Catherine Rouche (Roach), her mother was a Kipatrick.
