kim gay
Description: My name is Lesa Gay. I am 53 years old and I am
currently living in Reno, Nevada. I was adopted
November 30th, 1950 from Iowa Children's Home,
DesMoines Iowa to Dale and Betty Walker. The
children's home no longer exists. On papers from the
home I was only referred to as Baby Kay. My children
are both grown, my son has one child and is expecting
another. On his wife's side, her Father was also
adopted and does not know either his history. My
grandson has two grandparents that he will never know
anything about if one of us does not try to find out
more. My daughter is ready to start her family. They
would like to know their heritage and history. I must
admit that myself would like to know and of course the
records are sealed in Jefferson, Iowa and Iowa will
not unseal records.

Yesterday I learned that my Birth Mother's name was
Betty Krolick by seeing a very scetchy set of adoption
papers I found in my Mother's safe while looking for
papers I needed for her. No Father's name was
mentioned.

I know very little but would like to know more if
possible of my herritage not only for myself but for
my children.

I don't know where to go to search and of course would
not want my adoptive mother to know I was even
considering doing this.

It is my understanding that my birth mother either
lived in Chicago or went to Chicago to have me. I had
always been told that my Birth Mother died at
childbirth but according to the papers I saw yesterday
it stated my health and hers as good.

If you have the time to answer this E-mail or if you
have any imformation for me, please drop me an E-mail
at persephone4444@yahoo.com . Please put in the subject line
something that will make me realize that it is you
contacting me.

It stated on the papers that I found yesterday that my
birth name was Edna Alice Krolick. That is about all
I know now that is true. I have been told many
stories over the years and do not know what to believe
or disbelieve. My daughter did some research and has
found some connections between the Brown's and the
Krolicks. My adoptive Mother's maiden name was Brown.

Where does the Sir name originate from?

I am sorry if this makes little sense but I am
currently going through some very difficlut times with
my adoptive Mother and her health and there is a real
possiblity that we could loose her soon. My adoptive
Father has passed. My adoptive mother is 76 years
old.

Got to run. Thank you for you time.

Lesa Gay
