GERARD HALLE DID ACTUALLY RETURN FROM THE WAR, HOWEVER STATED HE COULD NOT FIND MONIQUE. HE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A FIRE CHIEF OF THE CANADIAN ARMY IN THE 70'S. THIS IS WHAT HE TOLD MY FATHER LIONEL WHEN HE WENT TO MEET HIM FOR THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME.
AFTER MONIQUE DIED IN 1953, MARTHA (PELLETIER) AND JOHN ARCHIBALD WENT TO CANADA TO BRING LIONEL, SUZANNE AND RONNIE TO THE UNITED STATES.
