Description: My Leach ancestors moved from what is now Calvert County, Maryland to Ohio County, Kentucky in late 1790's. My oldest ancestor that I have found is John (Leach and Leitch), who was born about 1640 and died in 1699, and, according to his will, he and Alicia had four sons: John Jr., Jeremiah, Ambrose, and James. Ambrose is my line. Ambrose married Mary, maiden name unknown, and, according to his will, they had four sons: Joshua, John, Ambrose, Jr. and William. Joshua was born about 1705; John about 1708; Ambrose, Jr. about 1710; and William about 1718. Ambrose Sr. died in 1744, in Calvert County, Maryland. William is my line.
