Jesse Moody, born 1776 in Georgia, married Frances Moody, born 1794 in Georgia. They had at least 8 children as follows: Joel, born 1817 married Naomi; Samuel, born 1825; Jesse, born 1827 married Margaret Bennett; Shadrack, born 1830; Benjamin, born 1831 married Louisa Powers; John, born 1833 married Caroline Lightsey; Sarah, born 1835; and William, born 1841.\r\nBenjamin and Louisa are my great-grandparents on my mother's side. \r\nMy husband, John McKinlay Adams, is believed to be descended from President Adams. I would like to confirm this. He is one of 12 children born to William Edward Adams and Sarah Emaline McKinlay. William was born January 30, 1901 and Sarah was born September 27, 1904.\r\n\r\n |
