AUG family that lived in White Mills, PA. My grandfather was William Henry Aug. He had two brothers, Fred and Corbett, and one sister, Marselle. My grandfather and his brothers were glassblowers for the Dorflinger Glass Works. Their father was Fred Aug who married Alice CORBETT, the daugher of Luke and Mary Alice LYNCH Corbett. The family moved from PA to Brooklyn, NY, and my father, William Michael Aug, moved to Denville, NJ with his parents and sisters when he was young. My grandmother is Julia LUNZ Aug. She is the daughter of Julius Lunz and Elizabeth BEEHL Lunz, who was born in Bayern , Germany. |

Golden Adkins, my husband's grandfather, was from West Virginia.\r\nHe was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii and married a Hawaiian lady who gave birth to my father-in-law, Thomas Adkins.\r\nTHE HERMAN AND THE BILLINGER FAMILIES both immigrated to USA from Russia in the late 1800s and early 1900s. \r\nAnton Herman arrived with his family, including my grandfather, John Herman. They were both born in Graff Russia. \r\nPeter Andreas Billinger also came to America where my grandmother, Elizabeth Billinger was born in Victoria Kansas.\r\n\r\nMy father, Herbert Herman, was born 26 January 1920. He met and fell in love with my mother, Elizabeth 'Bette' Palmer and they got married August 1943. Lt.Herbert Herman, a B-25 bomber pilot gave his life for his crew and his country on 10 Dec 1944 in WWII in northern Italy. The 319th Bomb group was attacked by an Italian squadron of German fighter planes. I was six months old then and have missed him since.\r\n |
