May 25, 1912 d. April 09, 1935, d/o Myrtle Croyle from Fulton, Cambria County and William McKinney from Bedford County (Myrtle Croyle was later married to Lloyd C. Foor). Carl was born to this man (Chester Shaffer).Mary Martha Foor, Carl's mother, married Chester Alan Arthur Mellott, s/o Martin Van Buren Mellott and Caroline Lane, after the two children were born. Mary Foor and Chester Shaffer were not married. Mary brought two children into the marriage with Chester Mellott, which Chester adopted, Carl Stanley and Rose Rosetta(which their last name would have been Shaffer). Chester Mellott and Mary together had Pearl, Florence Loretta, Howard Thomas and Martha Louise all Mellotts\, making Carl and Rosetta Mellotts\ too.
