My father's lineage comes from the Bay's of Denmark and the Ballou's of France. My mother's lineage is Whitmarsh, King and Gibson. My maternal great-grandfather, John W. Whitmarsh, was in Andersonville prison during the Civil War. My maternal great-grandmother's maiden name was Angeline Bogue. They lived in Iowa and Nebraska as adult's. John Whitmarsh was from Saratoga County, NY. Angeline Bogue was a Worthy Matron of the State of Nebraska, Order of the Eastern Star. |

The Wellever - Leroy Family of Door County, Wisconsin
Vicki Baum's Family Tree 1 The Baum family is directly from Germany as my father came to the U.S. in 1935 at the age of 25. The Copiskey family was in Wisconsin in the 1860's, marrying in Milwaukee on 2 Dec 1868 and residing in Ozaukee County in the 1870 census. They then moved to Door County about 1885. The Leroy family was from Beauharnais, Canada. William came to Door County in the early 1850's and married Almira Post in 1853. The Wellever family I have traced to about 1780 in New Jersey. David Wellever married Jane Lowe who was from Pennsylvania; her father being John. The Ammidown family is from Massachusetts. John Smith Ammidown married Pheobe Wilcox, whose father was Caleb. They resided in Stueben County, New York. The Post and Franklin line connect to the Leroy line. David Post was from New York and Sarah Franklin from Rhode Island according to the census. |

Jacob Frank family of New Prague, Scott County, MN. Maynard Smith and Desire Sheldon, both of whom were born in Alburgh, Vermont circa 1810, and later married and removed to Canada. They subsequently moved to Burke, Franklin Co., NY.; their sons Maynard, Minot, and Palmer lived in Hartford, Connecticut. Van Slyke family, of Wheatfield and Pendleton, NY, 1810-1860. He was married to Elizabeth KING and migrated to OK from ARK. There were at least 2 sons, Isreal Clayton BATES(b8/3/1888 in ARK, d3/18/1980 in Lubbock, TX), and Albert BATES(bd unknown in ARK, d unknown in Wilson, OK). Albert BATES was a Baptist preacher. my g-g-grandfather, ? SMITHERMAN is thought to have died in 1887 after being stabbed during a water rights dispute.
