my g g grandfather, John LONG, and his son, Benjamin Franklin LONG b. 1866 Paulding OH, m. Cecelia HIGBEE lived in MI, OH and IN. Ben and Cecelia are buried in Pleasant Lake, Steuben County, IN. They had children Elmer LONG, Clela LONG (born Hillsdale MI in 1903), and James Hubert LONG. John TREMAINS and his wife Hannah FERRIER (granddaughter of Captain Andrew FERRIER and Jean MARLIN) who lived in Williams Co., OH. John died in Ohio about 1840. His son was Andrew Jackson TREMAINE or TREMAINS who was born in Jefferson Township, Williams County,OH in 1840 and died in MI in 1920. AJ was married to Eliza A. REASONER, believed to be the daughter of Joseph REASONER and Catherine WELDON REASONER, who died in MI in 1875 and to Elizabeth HALL. He was a Civil War Veteran. John TREMAINS is believed to have had children by an earlier marriage as well. John HAVENS and Sarah ARNOLD HAVENS, of New Jersey and New York, whose children moved to Michigan about 1833-1837. Known children are William HAVENS, b. 1815 who married Mary BUGBEE; Stephen HAVENS who married Polly CAMBURN and/or Mary WILLIAMSON; Rachel HAVENS who married Levi ARNOLD, Hannah HAVENS who married Barzilla ARNOLD; Mary HAVENS who married John FOSTER, Phoebe HAVENS who married Truman WOODJudith Anne Altug |

William Allin b. 1640 of England came to Prudence Island in Rhode Island about 1660.\r\n\r\nWilliam's great great grandson Samuel Reynolds Allen and his new wife Pamelia (Mila) Dee settled in Stanbridge Township in Missquoi County in Quebec about 1810. Pamelia's father Elijah Dee fought in the Revolutionary War and in the French and Indian war as Elijah Davol of Connecticut. Samuel's mother Mary Reynolds\ ancestors came on the Mayflower.\r\n\r\nSamuel Reynolds Allen's son Sylvester Jackson Allen came to Bolton Township Brome County Quebec in 1842. Sylvester Jackson Allen and his second wife Eleanor Turner were my great grand parents.\r\n |
