Then to Quincy IL in 1840-1850. Died Quincy IL 1855. Catharine's family was also from Liverpool, England. My Great Grand-father Keaton James Wright and wife Dilla Dito Shaw Wright. They married and lived in Haskell county Texas and had 12 children. My GGGGGGGGrand-father was Thomas Brown from the William Penn Colony to my grandfather William Mitchell Brown Jr. Patrick Marion Munn my grandmothers father. Patrick Munn's GGGGGrandfather was Alexander McAlpine Munn of Scotland B1720 D1776. His children emigrated to the United States and settled in Detroit, Michigan. Joseph Arno had 5 children, four boys and one girl. The daughter, died at an early age. The four sons were Joseph, Walter, Douglas, and Robert. James Levi McGuire emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada. His wife's name was Sophia Tibbets. His youngest son, Charles Leo McGuire, was my father. He emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts. The MacLeod's emigrated to Prince Edward Island, Canada. The family appears to be mainly from Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Virginia. The Swing/Schwing family is reportedly from Alsace-Lorraine. The Armstrongs stop at my Great Grandfather Robert. He died in DeLand Florida, was married to Florence Swing on 29 Sept 1877. His mother was Sarah Scott, b 10-26-1824 in County Donegal, Ireland. According to my grandfather, William Robert Armstrong, (born in 1883 in DeLand, Florida) his great grandfather was also a Robert Armstrong, who supposedly died during the civil war, in an ambush crossing the Potomac river and he had a brother William (married to Annie Griffith) and a brother Alexander(married to Mary Long). |

Thomas Holt worked as a Carter in England. My dad was one of 8 children. Their 1st son was named Thomas b.Dec.2,1893 d.Dec.1953 in England. The other 7 children came to Canada.
