Friedrich married Caroline Dorothy STROBEL (from the same region). I do not know if they married in Germany or the USA, but their children were born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania between 1867 and 1885. |

Fulcard(Volkert) Auten was born in Sussex NJ abt. 1752. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, He enlisted in 1775. Soon after peace broke out, Fulcard moved to Lincoln County, NC. That is where he married Elizabeth Bonham(June 17, 1788). They lived there for 22 years and had 8 children. Then moved to Mecklenburg County, NC, Where he died at the age of 101. While Fulcard was enlisted in the war. He had an uncle that was Capt. Fulcard(volkert) Seaborn, who was commander of his company when he(Fulcard Auten) enlisted in 1775. |

After a dispute with his brother, Karl Hilse, my Grandfather changed his name and moved to N.C. and married Lottie Barnes. My Mother, was born Elsie Lee Parrish, Daughter of Esaias Parrish and Iola G. Langston, Daughter of Jesse E. Langston. After my Grandfather's death, my Mother and 2 of her Sisters, Viola and Lela went to live in Oxford Orphanage because there were limited income to support them and their other siblings. |
