Thomas Mark Yeates and May Price - I know that Thomas was a foreman on the Sydney Harbour retaining wall project, that they had five (5)? children being:-Nelson Frank, Eva, Thomas, Herbert and Norman, all of the children were born in Sydney, the family then moved to West Wallsend, NSW, Australia. Nelson married Ellen Durie in 1912 and they had 3 children James, Nelson Frank (my grandfather on my mother's side) and Elvie Eva. James Durie and Mary Ann Martin married 1892. they had six (6)? children - Ellen, John, Rose, Amy & Mary (twins) Jim and Vera. James Black and Marjory or Margary Grubb married cir 1880 in Scotland. Both were born in Scotland with Marjory being born in Largo. They lived in Minmi NSW Australia. They had five (5)? children - Katherine, Jean, John, James and William. William was killed in WWI. Katherine married Joseph Thompson in 1917 and had 2 daughters Marjory (my grandmother on my mother's side) and Mary (also known as Mollie) Joseph Thompson and Mary Ann Elliott - they had at least one son Joseph born 1888 who married Katherine Black at Minmi in 1917. |

Albert Batt, Sr. and his wife,Della Rice. Albert Batt, Sr., b. 10/15/1887 in Buffalo, married Della Rice, b. 2/13/1895 in Eldred, PA, in Canada on 10/21/1911. They had a hardware store on Delevan Ave. in Buffalo, NY. In the late 1930's they moved the family to Eldred, PA. They had 10 children, one daughter, Helen, that was killed outside the store at the age of 5. The other siblings were Harry, Albert, Jr., Richard, Eugene, Raymond, William, Pauline, Dorothy, and Elanor. |
