Emma Jane Humphreys,his wife and baby Anne came to New York, and settled in Connecticut.My maternal grandfather, Samuel Speed, a sailor, made port in \r\nPortland, Maine, and decided to visit friends from England in Seymour, Connecticut. About 1887. There he met a young Prussian immigrant named Henrietta Wieczorek, fell in love, married her and they raised a dozen kids. The Aldreds\ only had nine. |
