A Link to the Past
Dedicated to the Genealogy of John Christian Heer who was born in Bietigheim, Baden, Germany on December 1, 1796 and d. in September of 1868 in Jo Daviess County, Galena, IL. He brought his family, 2nd wife Christiana Hausch, and his 6 children; Henry, John Christian Jr., Peter, David H., Christiana (Neuschwanger), and Daniel. They came in 1840, and settled at Galena, IL in 1842. He children and grand children settled in several states; CA (Christian Jr.), KS (Henry), others include; MN, ID, OR, CO, MI, and TX. |
