Villiva - Descendent From Varapodio, Italy
My grandfather, Nazzareno Villiva was born on 2 June 1885 in Varapodio, Reggio di Calabria, Italy, to Nicolina and Antonio Villiva. Nazzereno came to Mexico around 1900 with a cousin, left there and settled in Beaumont, Texas, to send for the rest of his family which arrived via New Orleans, Louisiana. Siblings were Rocco b.20 Oct 1883, Domenico Antonio b. 12 Apr 1890, Vincent b.12 Sep 1892, Eugenia b. 8 Nov 1896, Salvatore b. 8 Jun 1889, and Carmelo b. 19 Nov 1900. Rocco, Vincent, and Salvatore did not come to the United States; they stayed in Italy. Nazzareno married Alice Blanche Kinney and had five children: Goldfemesine, Antene, Romerica, Eugene, and Mary. My father was Antene Villiva. Nazzareno died November 1955, buried in Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Texas; Alice (born 20 December 1910) died 17 July 2000, buried in Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Texas; Antene Villiva 20 June 1932 - 5 January 1997. THOMAS andDONNA AKEHURST,who reside in Kentucky, but\r\nstill call Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee home.\r\nDonna was born in Soddy-Daisy/Chattanooga area \r\nApril 9 1966, by Gertie Mae Harrell Wilkey who\r\ngave her up for adoption. Fifteen months later\r\nshe was adopted by Wallace and Mary Mysinger\r\nVarner. Donna has no brothers/sisters through\r\nher adoption,but has found a birth sister,\r\nSusie Swafford Bray of Rochester Hills, \r\nMichigan and a brother Roger Wesley Swafford \r\nof Battle Creek,Michigan;both of whom were \r\nadopted by our birth mother Virgie Herrell\r\nSwafford. Thomas was born in Jamestown,New York in 1958,\r\nlived in Oregon,Ohio and New Jersey before moving \r\nwith his mother and sister to Memphis,Tn.\r\nat the age of six. He grew up in Memphis after \r\nhis father's death, attended The University of \r\nTennessee and lived in Chattanooga.We have \r\nthree children, Mary Katherine Age 8,Eliza Teller\r\nage 6, Allan Jenner II age 3.\r\nANNKE HANS,orginal owner \r\nof Domminque's Farm or better known has lower \r\nManhattan, New York City.Possibly a direct\r\ndescended of Edward Jenner the great British Doctor.\r\n |
