The Jarcho-Yarcha-Turoff-Turow-Bermant families from Slutsk
The origins of this family start in Ancient Judea and stretch to Medieval Spain and Southern France and the town of Lunel where the Ha-Yarchi families lived until late 1300's- early 1400's. The family then moved North and East into the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in what became the province of Minsk Gubernia in present day Belarus. The tows of Baranovitch, Slutsk ,Turov and Kletsk and the surrounding towns were where they lived during the 1700's and 1800's. The earliest named ancestor was Zimel Yarcha(1750-1800). His descendents spread to other areas of Russia such as Pinsk, Minsk, Yekatrinoslav and Yousovka before leaving for Israel,England,Belgium,Argentina and most to the USA. Phillip Auth Family Tree Constantine Auth, born 16 April 1834 who arrived in New York harbor on the Balticus on 15 May 1852 with the family of his brother Conrad Auth. The two brothers came from the town of Rommerz in what was then the state of Hesse-Darmstadt in modern central Germany. Rommerz is located near the city of Fulda (as in the Fulda gap). DAVID married EMILY A HUTCHINS on Feb 28, 1851 and MOSES married CAROLINE FOWLER Dec 22,1858. Other children were: CHARLES LADD CONNER born July 9,1836 in Ossipee N.H. who married SARAH MARIA GARLAND, dau of JOHN AND HANNAH (GILE) GARLAND WILLIAM B CONNER born 1813 JOHN B CONNER born 1817 JEREMIAH CONNER born April 26.1818 PEASLEY B CONNER JR. born 1831 PATIENCE N CONNER born 1833 BADGER P CONNER born 1834 It is believed that JEREMY CONNER born Feb 11,1768 and ELIZABETH KELLEY were Peasley's parents. They had a daughter LYDIA BADGER CONNER who was born May 4,1789. Her birth record has been found, but no birth record can be found for Peasley. |

The first account I have of them are in St. Louis, Missouri.
