My father's family was Aldridge and Fulton. He was born in North Alabama to Henry Luther Aldridge and Elizabeth Dial Fulton Aldridge. He had one brother, Frank Fulton Aldridge; and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Aldridge Rasco of San Diego, California.\r\nMy great grandfather Fulton fought in the Civil War with the North Sumter (Alabama) Rifles. He was at the surrender at Appomatox Courthouse and walked all the way back to West Alabama after the surrender. he and his family lived around Sumterville, Alabama (outside York), in the old family home, Farview. William Frierson Fulton sired some thirteen children, among whom was my grandmother, Elizabeth Dial Fulton. |
