A story I heard from an Ed Kuester from New York claims that originally there was a family named Von Fralinger. This was consisted of a father and 4 sons. This family were robber barons. One of the sons had a falling out with his father. He took refuge at the church and became the caretaker. He changed his name to Kuester.
