Nelson was first married to Lelia Viola Davis and she died in 1914 They eventually ended up in Aspen Pitkin Co Colorado, They are both buried in the Red Butte Cemetery there.

Ggrandfather, Charles Carpenter (11/18/1830-11/20/1888). 1880 census of Cattaraugus, Napoli, NY says his parents were born in NY also. He married Harriet Palmer (1840-?), also of NY and parents born in NY. Their son, Arthur DeVere Carpenter (1865-1958) was my grandfather. He married Grace Murdock. The list of surnames I am posting are all connected with my Carpenters as Arthur and Grace gave these surnames as their 6 childrens middle names.

Description: Working on my husband's family and need help with William BLEVINS and Polly LYON as to their marriage date and place, James (William Henderson?) BLEVINS and Hannah O LYONS, I need their parents names and Hannah death date. I also need to know if anyone knows where they are buried.

On the STEVEN/STEPHENS does anyone know when the spelling was changed to STEVENS. My mother-in-law's father, and grandfather spelled it STEVENS. After that it is all STEPHENS.

Can anyone help me with information on Nancy A WILSON. Is she part Cherokee like we have been told.
