My paternal grandfather, Louis, came to England from Lithuania in about 1905. He lived in Kaunas, and brought 3 children with him when he came to England, where he settled in the East End of London. He was a master tailor by trade. My father Huskil was the youngest child. My grandmother was very talented musically and taught several instruments including the piano, and the balilaika. My fathers name was Francis Clark, his father was John Maurice, his father was Francis Barnes his father was James his father was Thomas ,his father was Thomas Alfonse this is were the trail runs cold Tho.Alfonse came from NY in I belive the late 18th cen or early 19th. What is significant is that their records in North Hemstead of the same Thomas Appelbe as one of the first residents in 1673 also aquote of his being in Rye NH 1652-1662, Our Name has been altered except Church Documents and Cemetey records Trying to connect siblings their is several marriages at The Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow where John also in the old Duthc burrying ground.
