Origin of Wick, Meaning of Wick
Origin: The surname "Lubowicki" is the english form of the surname "Lubovisziki" which originated from Ukraine (formally U.S.S.R) during the early 1800's and before. During World Ware I, the name was then renamed to males having the last name from "Lubovisziki" to "Lubowicki" and females from the above name to "Lubowicka" when many Ukrainian's migrated to Poland. How ever, the name was extended as apart of an unknown reason to "Lubowicki-Stasiak" and "Lubowicka-Stasiak". The extended surname "Stasiak" was never used and was used as a seperate surname but only by members of the same family tree.

Origin: The name Ostrye originated with Paul Ostrowicki family who came to US from Minikowo, Poland in 1862 and settled in Chautauqua Co NY. When tahe civil war broke out, son, Peter Ostrowicki enlisted and they spelled his name Ostrye(Ostre) and the family decided to adopt. Peter died in the ;civil war and is buried in Arlington Cemetery uner the name Austria. Since about 1870 the name Ostrye has been used by this family and is a new name in Ameerica
