John had a Jefferson Land Grant dated Dec 22,1815 for 145.34 acres in Washington Co.,Indiana Territory (SW quarter, section 18, Twp 3 N,Range 3E) for $1.25 an acre. This land became part of Lawerence Co.,Indiana. Lawerence county was formed in Jan. of 1818. |
