Description: I am trying to find any information on my father, Richard Max Swanson and my family heritage. The only thing I have to go on is my dad married my mother, Margaret Ann Ealy, on November 1st, 1956 in Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona. The marriage license lists my father at the age of 21 and my mother 19 in 1956, but my mother told me my dad was really only 19 and she was only 17. I don?t know the year my father was born, but I was born in July 1957, which should bring his birth year around 1936 or 1937. My mother was born August 3, 1939. Shortly after my parents married, and because my mom was under age, my grandparents forced my mother to live with relatives in Ohio and file for divorce or they were going to press charges against my dad.
My father was based at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson Arizona and served 6 months in Guam. His nickname while in the service was Swany. My father was born in Cass County Michigan and to my knowledge he returned there after he got out of the Air Force.
Any additional information on my father or suggestions on how to proceed would mean a great deal to me.
