The Jarcho-Yarcha-Turoff-Turow-Bermant families from Slutsk
The origins of this family start in Ancient Judea and stretch to Medieval Spain and Southern France and the town of Lunel where the Ha-Yarchi families lived until late 1300's- early 1400's. The family then moved North and East into the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in what became the province of Minsk Gubernia in present day Belarus. The tows of Baranovitch, Slutsk ,Turov and Kletsk and the surrounding towns were where they lived during the 1700's and 1800's. The earliest named ancestor was Zimel Yarcha(1750-1800). His descendents spread to other areas of Russia such as Pinsk, Minsk, Yekatrinoslav and Yousovka before leaving for Israel,England,Belgium,Argentina and most to the USA. The ANNOTICO Family in the US, started with Giuseppe Annotico, born February 4,1882 in Ficarra, Messina, Sicily. Felicia Dabenne was born on September 22, 1889 in Sant'Agata Militello, Messina, Sicily. Giuseppe married Felicia on December 11, 1904 in Sant'Agata Militello. Giuseppe's and Felica's first child Maria born in 1905, died in 1906, at the age of 8-9 months. Giuseppe boarded the SS Napolitan Prince in Palermo and landed in New York on July 15, 1906, from whence he proceeded immediately to Cleveland, Ohio where a relative of his wife (Vitanza)was already situated. Giuseppe's wife Felicia followed him 8 months later and landed in NY on March 24 ,1907,and proceded to Cleveland. Tony, the next of nine other children was born to Felicia and Giuseppe on April 7 1908. Joseph (May 9, 1911), Concetta/Jenny (July 2,1914), Vincenzo (July 12, 1917), Mary (Setember 26, 1921), Salvatore/Sammy (November 11, 1924), Rose (January 8, 1927),Grace (July 23, 1930), Ronald (June 6, 1934).All 10 children were born in 3-4 year intervals. Allen b. 1888 and d. 1922 married Cordillia Rhoehemia Keesling in Missouri she was born December 13, 1879 and died February 1974. Thier children were/are Ethel, Marie, Violet, Earl and Hubert. \r\n\r\nGrandmother Golda Marie Dobson b. October 24, 1902 d. May 24, 1994 Grandfather Raymond Lawrence House b. March 30, 1898 d. October 21, 1958. Father of Raymond is Anderson Ward House b. January 12, 1871 Terre Haute, Indiana d. December 1, 1942, Mother is Ella Lavina Rhoades b. September 17, 1873 Fort Wayne Indiana d. February 5, 1957 m. August 2, 1891 in Lincoln Center, Kansas. I know that they had 7 children: Nellie, Stella, Myrtle, Maudie, Lamona, Raymond, and Elmer.\r\n\r\nAnderson's parents were Isiac House and Nellie Connelly and siblings were Lu, Andy and himself.\r\nElla's parents were John Rhoades and Lavina Henry and they had 12 children 3 were males and the rest females.\r\n\r\nI believe that both Anderson and Ella died in Ponca City, Oklahoma. I have reason to believe that the House Ancestry is Indian, but am unsure as to what degree or tribe, suspect Cherokee Nation.\r\n |
