The Amedeo Basconi Family Of Washington Township, NJ
My grandfather's name was Amadio Basconi, born 1882 in Norcia, Perugia. My grandmother was Amelia (Ventura) Basconi, who was born in 1880. They had plans upon retirement to live the rest of their lives in the country side Italy. For twenty years money was sent towards payment of their dream home. All plans were interuped when Amadio, after 20 years of sending money was on a ship to visit his parents died of a Black Spider infection. Before his death he only had a a chance to visit his wife Amalia relatives in Rome and never again to see his parents or relatives in Norcia, Perguia. Both parents of Amadio died within a year of Amadio death and which is said to have been from grief.

Martin Mellinger returned to Liditz, PA in 1863 after his medical discharge from the Army in Ohio. By 1865 Martin is in Stephenson Co, Illinois and marries Anna Sellers, also of PA. They have three daughter together, Mary, Sarah, and Emma Elizabeth. Emma and Sarah list Princeton Indiana as their place of birth. Sometime after Emma's birth in 1873, Martin and Anna divorced. In 1879 she is remarried in a Vigo Co. Census for 1880 to Chas. Calvin and living in Vigo Co. Emma Elizabeth Mellinger was my grandmother. Bob and Debbie's Family Tree: Surname List

Genealogy Report: Descendants of Brislin Genealogy Report: Descendants of Domenico DiFrancesco Genealogy Report: Descendants of Johannes Barth Genealogy Report: Descendants of Reese Genealogy Report: Descendants of Orazio BAHRT FAMILY Johannes Georg Martin Bahrt came to the United States in December 1847 from the small village of Sus (Suess) which is in Hessen, Germany (Formerly the Kingdom of Hessen-Kassel). He settled in Tamaqua, Pennslvannia and was living with the Miller family (1850 census). Martin (namesake), went back to his village several months later and returned in February of 1848 with his brother John Georg. John Georg settled in Hazleton with his wife Rebecca Rueth and their two children George and Maria M. Martin and John Georg's sister, Anna Martha Hess (nee Bahrt) also came to America and settled in Luzerne Co. Martin , probably married the daughter of Christian Miller, Elizabeth, who died young but had one son with Martin named John William. John William married Sophia Elizabeth Kannegiesser, daughter of John and Rachel Kannegiesser of Herigen, Prussia. Areas of decendent migration include: Tamaqua and Hazleton PA, New Jersey, Inyo Co. California, and Buffalo, New York. FAMILY DIFRANCESCO Anna DiFrancesco came to the United States in 1905 with Donato DelNegro,husband of her niece Filomena Checchia. In 1906, Anna married Pasquale Orazio of Buccino, Italy. Anna had been living on 4th Ave in Elizabeth, NJ with her brother Antonio (DeFrance)and Pasquale with his uncle Vincenzo DiLeo (Leo). Anna was the daughter of Felice DiFrancesco and Maria Lugia Berardi (St. Anthony's marriage record states Monaco). Anna was born in the village of Montazzoli, which is in the provence of Chieti, state of Abruzzo. Anna's brothers and sisters include Gennaro and Albina (Checchia) who stayed in Montazzoli, Antonio and Laura Giovina who emmigrated to the United States., Giacinta (married Camillo Baratucci), Mariangiola, and Guiseppe. There may have been more, and supposidly one when to either Argentina or Sao Paolo, Brazil. Nobody remembers who or their name. REESE FAMILY Mariam Reese was born in 1860 in Wales and settled in Audenried, Pennsylvania (Yorktown)about 1883. She married George Price and they had several children, only 4 daughters survived to adulthood: Charlotte (Roberts), Mariah (Smith), Mary Ann (Bahrt), and Susan. Mariam died in 1909, and listed in her obituary were brothers Thomas and Benjamin Reese. One brother lived in Hocking Valley, Ohio, the other in Audenreid. Nobody knows who their decendents are or of their parents. Mariam and George Price are buried in the Jeansville Methodist Cemtery. BRISLIN FAMILY Neil Brislin came to the United States as a child with several brothers and sisters from Ireland and settled in Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania (Carbon County). He had a brother named James Brislin (1880 Census), and married his wife Jane (Anne)Boyle around 1860. Jane had one known brother, Michael, who lived in McAdoo, PA. Neil and Jane had several children, only 3 lived to adulthood: Hugh, James, and Catherine. Later in life son Hugh changed his surname to Breslin. For the majority of their lives they lived in Jeddo, Middletown, Pennsyvlania, and are buried at St. Anns Cemetery in Freeland, PA. MOONEY FAMILY John Mooney was from the village of Lougherherk, Ireland which is in the Union of Glenties, Co. Donegal (Parish Glencoulmkille). John married Anne Boyle from the village of Owenteskinney (Owenteskna) which is in the Union of Glenties, Co. Donegal. John was barely 17 years old when he married his bride who was much older than him. They married at the Chapel of Ardara in Donegal, Ireland on November 24th, 1874. They emmigrated to the United States in 1875 and settled in Eckley, Luzerne Co. Pennsylvania. John's parents were Hugh Mooney, and Madge Carr who stayed in Ireland with John's siblings Hugh and Mary. One of his sisters, Anne, came to the United States and married John Campbell and settled in Drifton, Pennsylvania. Anne's parents were William Boyle and Anne Harvey. Supposidly she had several brothers who were teachers in the area of Owenteskna.

The origins of this family start in Ancient Judea and stretch to Medieval Spain and Southern France and the town of Lunel where the Ha-Yarchi families lived until late 1300's- early 1400's. The family then moved North and East into the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in what became the province of Minsk Gubernia in present day Belarus. The tows of Baranovitch, Slutsk ,Turov and Kletsk and the surrounding towns were where they lived during the 1700's and 1800's. The earliest named ancestor was Zimel Yarcha(1750-1800). His descendents spread to other areas of Russia such as Pinsk, Minsk, Yekatrinoslav and Yousovka before leaving for Israel,England,Belgium,Argentina and most to the USA. Janna L Babcock - InterneTree my father's family, the Martins were from Lewiston, Maine. His mother's maiden name was Dulac. Her mother's maiden name was Arnoldy. Their families came from France to Quebec and Acadia in the 1600's and 1700's. my mother's family, surname Kvernvik. They came from Norway in 1906. Her mother came from Norway around that time also, my grandmother's surname was Mathisen. My husband's family is also from Maine. The Babcock's settled in Bangor. His paternal great grandmother was a decendent of Abraham Somes who settled in Somesville on Mt. Desert Island, Maine, in the late 1700's. My husband's mother's family, the Ernst's came from Brooklyn, New York, and Switzerland. Avent Family of Virginia and North Carolina
Col. Thomas Avent emigrated to VA around 1701. It is believed that he emigrated from Devonshire, on the southern coast of England. His grandsons, John and Joseph Avent moved to Chatham Co., NC around 1775, founding a settlement called Avent's Ferry, named for a ferry across the Cape Fear river which was run by the Avents until the 1920's. Genealogy Report: Ancestors of Charles L. McGuire the Joseph Arno family from England. I believe Joseph Arno was descended from the French Hugenots. He emigrated to Canada, settling in Ontario. His children emigrated to the United States and settled in Detroit, Michigan. Joseph Arno had 5 children, four boys and one girl. The daughter, died at an early age. The four sons were Joseph, Walter, Douglas, and Robert. James Levi McGuire emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada. His wife's name was Sophia Tibbets. His youngest son, Charles Leo McGuire, was my father. He emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts. The MacLeod's emigrated to Prince Edward Island, Canada. Adison Anthony Family Home Page
Adison Anthony appeared on the 1850 census of Ouachita Co.,Arkansas. He indicated birth in VA abt. 1829. He was living with the Elkanah Sullivent family. Rev. Sullivent had married the widow (Nancy) of Phillip Mason in Yalobusha Co., MS. They came to AR abt. 1844. Nancy's maiden name was RHEA. She and Phillip Mason (VA abt. 1800) were married in Lawrence Co., AL in 1824. There were several Elkanah Sullivents. We believe this one came from NC by way of TN, MS and finally Arkansas. Adison died in 1879 at age 50. Adison married Esther Mason whom he met while boarding with her family. Their children were: John Franklin Anthony, Alexander Mason Anthony, Martha, Julius Roberson Anthony, William Nathaniel and Andrew Jackson.

The Andriani Of Castellana Grotte, Province Of Bari, Italy
ITALY: From Greece (Crete?)the Andriani migrated to Italy, possibly through the former Greek port of Brindisi, a city state of Greece. From there the family branched out in many directions. In Italy, there are Andrianis in the former Kingom of the Two Sicilies to include Bari, Naples[Andriani Bishop of Naples, 1770s] as well as Northern Italy to include Lucca and Venice. SPAIN: There is also an Andriani Branch in Spain which has produced General Field Marshals (Luis Maria Andriani, 1830}and Archbishops of Pamplona (Severo Andriani). The current Spanish Andriani live in Madrid, Spain. The last Luis Maria died in the 1990s. He is survived by his wife and children, the son being named Bertrand. AUSTRIA(Holy Roman Empire): The Holy Roman Empire has listed one Baron Peter Paul von Andriani (1770s). He was later elevated in the titled nobility to the rank of Count of the Holy Roman Empire. I have no further details on this individual. USA/ARGENTINA: My immediate branch arrived in America in 1890 with Michele Andriani (spelled Andriany here in the USA among one branch of the family). He was born in Castellana Grotte, Province of Bari, in April 1869. Michele's parents were Vito Nicolas Andriani (known also as Nicolas)and Rosa BulzacMichael Robert Andriani

Then to George's children Thomas, William, George II, James, Peggy Adams Wisner, and Francis Adams all of NC I beleive. Then to their children and my direct line which is Thomas Adams who married Ann Vaughn. Their children were Sally Adams Taylor, Ann Adams Hobbs, James, Nancy Adams Waters, Daniel, David, and George III.\r\nMy direct line from the second generation is from David Adams who married Vicie Haynes and later Betsey Fielder. David and Vicie's children were James A., Silvester, John Quincy, Joseph, Reuben, Elisha, Betty Elizabeth Adams Martin, Mary Ann Adams Price, Isibilla Adams Price, and Nancy B. Adams Adams all of AL. the children of David and Betsey's children were Henry Jackson, Larly Sallie Adams Franks, David, Tennessee 'Tenny' Adams Bettis, and Daniel Charles Adams all of AL. From Alabama they migrated to Davidson and Hardin Co., TN via the Natchez Trace and from TN they came to AR where my direct line stops.
