My father?s THOMPSON?s immigrated in the 1600?s to St. Mary?s Co, MD and are Catholic?s. They were part of the Maryland Palatinate that went to Kentucky en masse 1780-1805. my line went on to Clay Co, IL in the 1850?s. My father?s mother was had a GILLEY father and KRUTSINGER mother. (Reuben GILLEY, b 1827 in TN, m to Lydia Jane PHELPS). The MAY?s were late comers-immigrating in 1832 from the state of Hesse Darmstadt, Germany. The came in through the port of Buffalo, NY, moved to Portage Co, OH and then on to IL. (Barbara CUMMINS who had daughter Rosa Mary CUMMINS out of wedlock 3 Aug 1879 in Morgan Co, IN). RADER and FULLINGTON lines. They all ended up in Missouri.
