Ira E Pearce born 1805 in Camden Co NC and his brothers. His brothers were Elisha M Pearce, Samuel Pearce, Jeremiah Simmons Pearce, John Pearce, and Tom Pearce. Tom Pearce married Dorothy (Dolly) Culpepper and had a son named Peter C Pearce. Ira Pearce also had a sister named Polly who married a John Hodgin in Henderson Co Tenn in 1843. Aperently he also had a half brother named James P. Marchant who moved to Dyer Co. Tenn. Samuel Pearce lived in Mifflin Tenn. Jeremiah S Pearce moved to Fayette Co Tenn in 1841. John Pearce lived in Holly Springs, Miss. Elisha was a local preacher in the Methodist Church and lived at least part of the time in South Mills, NC. Their parents were James Pearce and Sarah (Sally) McBride. |
