Eden, Brady, Mergenthaler are Germany. Wagner from Alsace Lorainne, France which many people are aware was on again off again Germany. Brady from Ireland. Eden came from Kingdom Of Hannover, Ostfrieland, Germany \r\nin 1872 and was part of the mass immigration of Germans from \r\nthat area when the Emporer of Germany declared all men were to \r\nenlist in the armed forces for 7 years minimum. They traveled \r\nwith family members up through the Gulf of Mexico up the \r\nMississippi River. Some departed in Illinois and settled in \r\nvarious counties. From Peoria County and Livingston County my \r\nancestors traveled to Shelby, Shelby County, IA in 1880. \r\nThey left Shelby before 1905 with a stop in Des Moines \r\nand went on to Peoria, IL in 1905 and resided at 348 Malone \r\nStreet then to 339 South Park Ave (now Trewyn Ave) for a few \r\nyears after which they settled on 216 Fishgate (now Marquette).\r\n\r\nThe Brady family was from Ireland immigrated to America \r\nin 1846 on Queen of the West in New York. They moved to \r\nTiskilwa, Bureau County, Illinois.
