THERE WAS A TIME THAT THE CROUSE FAMILY OF NC MOVED TO WVA/VA BECAUSE OF A FAMILY TRAGEDY. THE FORSYTH COUNTY NC CENSUS STATES THAT AS OF 1920 SQUIRE W. CROUSE WAS A RETAIL MERCHANT- THEN BY CENSUS OF 1935- HE STATES HE WAS A FARMER. MAYBE DURING THIS TIME- THE TRAGEDY AND THE MOVE TOOK PLACE.
