Frederick's second son Nicholas born December 4, 1793 was renamed Frederick after his father was killed. Frederick Alenduff married Nancy Ann Meredith, a young lady of German extraction. \r\nOn November 2, 1828 they moved to Davis Township, Fountain County, Indiana from Butler County, Ohio. Frederick entered 80 acres of land at $1.25 per acre. He later acquired 73 acres and 36 acres at different times. On this farm nine of the eleven children grew to maturity.
