I am researching the BROOKS family from Caswell County, North Carolina and the Brann family of Rockingham and Person County, North Carolina. Timey Brooks, born abt. 1812 of Caswell County daughter of Larkin Brooks (b. beg. 1774 of Pittsylvania, VA and d. bef. 1834 in Person County, NC) and Nancy Smith (of King and Queen Co, VA) married Vincent Brann and they farmed in Rockingham County, NC.\r\nLarkin Brooks was the son of Marke or Mark Brooks Jr., b. abt. 1750 and died a resident of Caswell Co., NC. He was the son of Mark or Markus Brooks, b. abt 1720 of Virginia. He married Fannie Harris of Granville Co., NC and died abt. 1821 at Ephraim's Creek, Chatham Co., NC.\r\n\r\nMarkus was said to be the son of John Brooks Sr., b. abt. 1690 in England where he married Susan, also of England.
