The Kerr/ McMurtrie/Beauregard Family Home page
Robert Loughton Kerr born in Innerleithen, Scotland in 1888(we believe). He married a Catherine Tennant Dunlop Mcmurtrie from Glasgow, Scotland, born somewhere between 1895 and 1903. They emigrated to Canada in 1920's and had one child, a Robert George Kerr. Robert joined the Canadian Armed Rifles. He died in 1928 or 1929 in an industrial accident in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Catherine Tennant Dunlop McMurtrie had 2 sisters and 3 brothers that I am aware of: Jean, Dolly, Jack, Andrew and George. Andrew died in the war at an early age. All of her brothers were military men. She had a cousin of whom she was particularily fond by the name of Thomas Milroy. She also had some relatives by the name of Baird, apparently living in Canada. Toussaint Beauregard and Louis Gauthier Families, of Worcester County, Mass. The Beauregard's are descendants of Andre Jarret de Beauregard of the Montreal Area of Canada. Toussaint (1853-1922) whose wife was Anna Gravel (1855-1927)came to the USA in about 1895 and settled in Gilbertville Mass. Toussaint was the son of Toussaint Beauregard (1815-1885) and Marie LaCroix dit Bourgault (1818-1888).The only information on the Gauthiers, is that Joseph(1873-1939) whose wife was Clara Paquette (1877-1903), was the son of Louis Gauthier (1845-1921) and Sophie Tougas (1845-1915). Joseph was born in Worcester, Mass, but I do not know the birthplace of Louis Gauthier, but I believe he was born in 1845 in French Canada. |

Bonita G Atkins - InterneTree Gowan family from Erin Prairie, Wisconsin.William Daniel Gowan appears in the 1870 census as being 53 years old and was married to Ellen Lloyd being 37 years old both born in Ireland. I think he may have resided in Stillwater, Minnesota before that. There children are listed in the Baptisimal records of St. Michaels Church of Stillwater, Mn. They had nine children: Ann, Ellen, John, William Daniel, Catherine, Margaret, Edward, Mary and Melissia.I have a copy of a deed to some land bought in Erin Prairie in 1865, and sold in 1883. I believe they moved there family to Pior in Big Stone County, Minnesota where they are buried in the St. Mary's Cemetery. William Died in 4/1884 and Ellen in 8/16/1887.John Gowan was sheriff of Ortonville, Big Stone County, Mn for 28 years 1901-1928. Patrick Regan married to Ellen Morgan both from Ireland, moved to Rothdale, Lancashire, England in the early 1860's. They moved to Boston, Mass in the early 1870's five years later moved to Mpls, Mn. In 1878 moved to Barry, Mn and were one of the first families to settle there til 1899 and moved to Spokane, Wa. They had four children:James - 1870, William 1874, Mary Ann 1876, and Patrick 1880. Parick Jr built a general store in Barry, Mn 1901. |

In 1721 settled in Boston to practice medicine which he continued until his death in 1746. I have accounted for most of his direct descendents by the surname of Archbald. I estimate his birth to be about 1685 in the highlands. |
