George Washington AYERS was born in Kentucky about 1808 and moved to Indiana about 1835. Decendents of George include sons William and Henry,daughters Amanda and Mary Ann. It is believed, but not documented, that George may have initially settled in Greene County and may have married Polly BALES in 1836 in Monroe County, before moving to Jackson County sometime after 1840. It is further believed that he had brothers Henry, Edward/Edmond and Samuel who settled in Brown County about 1835. Creamer-Grant Connection
My gggrandparetns: Patrick and Bridget (nee:Mauran) Grant. Both born around 1830's-40's. Their child, Anna Maria Grant was my ggrandmother. Born around 1865. My ggrandparents: Michael and Ann (nee:?) Creamer or Cramer. Both born around 1830's-40's. Their child, Patrick Creamer or Cramer was my ggrandfather. Born around 1863. All from Leitrim County, Ireland. Parish? Townland? Patrick and Anna immigrated to Providence, Rhode Island, USA around 1881. They did not marry till Nov. 5, 1885 in Providence, R.I. USA. They had 5 children: Jon(died at 8 months), James H. (My grandfather), Mary Ellen (Liked to be called May, married a Michael Malone late in life with no kids), George Andrew the 1st, and Annie T. who married a Philip Cullen. |

The ancestors came to Ohio in the early 1800's. They were mostly farmers and resided in Montgomery, Warren and Butler Counties in Ohio. Most were originally of German Ancestery. George Anspach came to Miamisburgh, Montgomery County, Ohio in 1833. His tombstone states that he was born in Berks County, Pennsyvania. He had lived in the town of Rehrersburg,in Berks County, PA before coming to Ohio. |
