Atkinson and Clark Families in Southern Ohio
Atkinson family From Harrison, Morgan, and Perry county Ohio\r\n\r\nJames Atkison, is the father of Samuel James Atkinson, of Morgan and later Morgan County. James, was married to Sarah Phillis, in Morgan county, 1863.\r\n\r\nAyers family connection is through Gladys Ayers, the daughter of David Ayers and Jane Townsend. David is the son of Isaac and Ann Hope Ayers, of southern Ohio. Isaac was also married to Samantha Anderson in 1861, in Vinton county, Ohio.\r\n\r\nJane Townsend is the daughter of Martin Townsend and Louisa Graham, from Meigs and Athens county area.\r\nMost of my Atkinson and Clark research centers around Southern Ohio, in Harrison, Perry, Morgan, Athens, and Franklin counties. \r\n\r\nSeveral Clark Cousins have shared their research, for which I thank them. John Clark moved from Maryland to Pennslyvania, reaching Perry County, about 1820.\r\n\r\nMy Mansfield, Oyler and Stevens research has been centered in northern Ohio. The Oylers were originally from North Carolina, before moving to the midwest. They spend time in both Peru, Indiana and the Toledo Ohio Area. \r\nThe Gulianio and Juliano surnames are from Caustelmaur, Italy, where my wife's Grandparents were from.\r\n\r\nOutline Descendant Tree: Descendants of James AByron Akinson |

We are Birchfield, Hardin, Raxter, Derreberry, Adams, etc. Our Birchfield relatives were from Cades Cove and direct decendents of the Cherokee Indidan Tribe as well as our Hardin relatives. |

This is a research/discussion group for the descendants of Peter BLACK, who lived in Buffalo Twp, Washington Co PA. According to his will dated 12 Feb 1808, Peter's children were: Elizabeth (m. MASTERS), Samuel, James, John, Peter, David, Moses, Aaron, Sarah, Kettron (Katherine?), Solomon, and Joseph. Some of Peter BLACK (Sr)'s children and grandchildren moved to Champaign Co OH between 1805 and 1810 and to Henry Co IA between 1835 and 1840. |
