Origin: brill - as many Brills that I have mrt know too - years ago in Rusia a wise Rabbi gethered all his wide family one day - he said that troubels to the jewish people are coming and EVERYBODY in that room, that day should change his last name to BRILL - B - for the hebrew word BNEI -sons of R - for Rabi/ I- for Ihuda - his name/ L - Laib -= his second name - so when ever you or your genaretions to come will meet a Brill - you all know where you all came from - and that is the meaning to the BRILL family name as we know and bielive in/ I have been traveling alot in my life and met Brills that are not family and they knew yhe meaning too.
