Daniel BAXTER came into USA in or around 1778. He was born In Ireland or Scotland Circa 1758. He married Sarah CARY in Menham, Morris,New Jersey in 1780. Was bound over to the Govenor in 1778 with a John BAXTER (possibly a brother). After Sarah CARYs father died, the will was probated in 1799, they moved to Washington County Pennsylvania. The following is a list of there children. John, Samuel, Esther, Rebecca, Nancy, Pacey most were born in New Jersey, also Daniel, and James W. who were born in the Washington County Pennsylvaia area. Later the boys migrated to Knox County Ohio. John settled in Knox County while Samuel moved on to Ross County Ohio and then to Allen County Ohio. My Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandfather Thomas Mylecharane was born in Jurby on October 13, 1799. He and his wife Jane Caley had 9 children on the Isle before coming to the US and settling in Chicasaw County, Iowa. He was the 7th child of Philip Mylecharane and Ann Quayle. The name changed to Craine on arriving in US. Richardson (Scotland & possibly the Isle of Man) my grandmother's family, Grider & Pince. The Grider family from Wisconsin, Minnesota and possibly Missouri. Jan Pince family 1842 from Tuchonic Bohemia, Immigrated late 1800's to Iowa and later moved to Minnesota. Opay (Opalewski), Berg & Aune from Nord Trondheim Norway settled in Traill County, North Dakota approx. 1877. Andrew & Anne Swanson who immigrated to Anoka County, MN in 1882 from Sweden.
