My Grandfather, Adolph(e) B(e)aune was born at Windsor, Ontario on February 09, 1883. His father, Isidore B(e)aune was born in Quebec on May 30, 1947. His father was also named Isidore. My paternal grandmother was of German decent. Her Maiden name was Ottillia (Tillie) Kariger, born December 13, 1892. Her Mother, Amella Langer, was born In Germany as were her grandparents from both sides. My Maternal grandfather was Frederic (Fred) Gariepy of French Canadian decent. He was born September 17, 1881 at Walhalla, North Dakota. I don't know the name of his father but he was a Me`tis from Canada who hunted Buffalo in the prairie and operating out of Pembina, North Dakota. I know nothing of my grandfather's mother but assume she was an Indian or half breed. My Maternal grandmother was Marie Josephine LaRocque born about 1880 at most likely Neche, North Dakota. (Her brother, Zephurin Pete was born at Neche). Her father Pierre LaRocque was born in 1840 and her grand father was Antoine LaRocque. Her family were also Me`tis'. |

Edward Bently Gilder, Head Maggie Reese Gilder, Wife Alice Gilder, Daughter, born June 29th, 1896 Gertrude Gilder, Daughter, born about 1894 Edward and Maggie had one more daughter in 1901...Marian, and then Maggie died when Marian was 4 or 5 (1905-1906). Edward was born around 1864 and immigrated to this country from England around 1890. His wife was Maggie Reese, born around 1874 in Philadelphia. Maggie died around 1905 in Philadelphia. Maggie had one sister Elsie. Frederick Buchler married Marian Gilder on May 26th, 1924. Frederick was born in Pennsylvania on Dec 11th, 1887. He had two older brothers, Augustus and William. All of them were born in Pennsylvania, but either one or both of their parents were born in Germany. Frederick's birth certificate lists his parents as Joseph and Mrs. Biehler, but his Baptismal Certificate lists his parents as Frederick Bichler and Elizabeth Fillers, and still another record (his Funeral book) lists his Parents as Augusta and Elizabeth Buchler. The Archie Davy's (Davey) of Genesee, Mi.
My fathers father came from Norwood, Ontario. His name was William George Washington Davy (Davey), the firstborn son of John James and Sarah (Frappy) Davey. My grandfather William George Washington Davy (Davey) must have changed the spelling of our last name, because his brother Arthur, who stayed in Ontario, spelled his name with an (e). But in all the books he wrote about his life he spelled everyones name without the (e). my great grandmother's name was Sarah Eliza Frappy, her fathers name was Joseph Frappy, he was a French Canadian ship captain until 1835 when he married one of his passengers, an Irish woman who had been married, her 1st husband died, she came over with 3 children, one died aboard the ship on the way over. Her married name was Grames. Joseph and her settled down on a farm in Murray Twp. Northumberland Co., Ontario, Canada. The 2 children from her 1st marriage were name, Andrew and Joseph Grames. One became a sailor, the other a farmer. |

Martin Mellinger returned to Liditz, PA in 1863 after his medical discharge from the Army in Ohio. By 1865 Martin is in Stephenson Co, Illinois and marries Anna Sellers, also of PA. They have three daughter together, Mary, Sarah, and Emma Elizabeth. Emma and Sarah list Princeton Indiana as their place of birth. Sometime after Emma's birth in 1873, Martin and Anna divorced.
