William Alfred Pickering of England and Missouri
William Alfred Pickering and the fifth of his five wives Elizabeth Sanders Pickering we do not know her maiden name. Scorces say Lincoln, she was born in Tenn. in1829. William is buried with four of his five wives on an acre of land. One of William's sons founded the Pickering Lumber Co. Which at one time had mills throughout the southern states. He was born in England in 1813 . |

The Depper Family Home Page
the Depper family from Oestrich, On the Rhine, Hessen,Germany. Johann Georg first appears in the marriage registry of the Catholic Church in Oestrich in 1702 when he marries Catherine Winkel. Catherine died in 1710,leaving children Michael,Joes,Magdelena and Anna Margaretha. Georg married again in Feb 1711 to Anna Margaretha Zobes. The children in this marriage were Laurence, Anna Maria, Anna Margaretha,Anna Catherina, Magdelena, Theodore, Casper,Maria Magdelena,Simon. Johann Georg is my g.g.g.g.g.grandfather. On Johann Georg's first marriage it states that he is from Hafegg in Swabia. On the Citizenship papers (1704) of Oestrich it states he is from Hafegg-by the Lech ( River ) This is believed to be now incorporated in Bernburen in Bavaria. His father was Johann Georg also. His mother's name is hard to read but it could be Ambrosia Josenophs. William Pickering and his wife Anne Davies were living in Liverpool from 1796-1843. Children were Jane,Ann,Job,James, and Harriett. William was a carpenter /shipwright who died at 1 Rich Street Limehouse, Stepney in the house of his Son-in-law Ralph Chillingsworth and his daughter Ann, in Jan 1849. |
