Origin of Pel, Meaning of Pel
Origin: The name Stapelton (as it was invariably spelt before Richard the Second?s time) is Anglo-Saxon. It means a 'trading village;' 'stapel,' a pile or heap, denoting a place where goods were collected and stored for sale?Dr. Johnson defines it, a 'mart or emporium'?and 'tun,' an inclosure or town. It was appropriate to a village like Stapelton, conveniently situated for commerce, on the border-line between the two provinces of Deira and Bernicia, at a point where the river was passable. But the term 'stapel,' or 'staple,' has long since lost its former signification. From being first applied to the place where goods were sold, it was next given to the merchandise sold there, and is now usually understood to mean the product for which the place is best known. The 'tun' was surrounded by an earthen mound tipped with a stockade or quickset hedge, with a ditch outside, and each township was thus a ready-made fortress in time of war.

Origin of Pel, Meaning of Pel
Origin: The surname "CAPPELLINI" is an italian surname, common in norther and center Italy. The town when the Cappellinis are more are Milan, Rome, Florence, Pistoia and Como. The origin should have been in Pistoia and Como, probably 2 different families, not relatives. Then from Pistoia they should have emigrated to Florence and to Rome (in Rome during a period of tuscanian popes, that were bringing their relatives, servants, workers with them), from Como to Milan. The meaning is "little hats". The cappellinis from Pistioa are appearing first in the 1681 in Bottegone, a village of about 6000 people that lies 5 km from Pistoia and 30 km from Florence.

Origin of Pel, Meaning of Pel
Origin: The name Rempel is unusual among Mennonites, in that it does not derive from the European lowlands where the majority of Mennonites claim their origins. Not even circumstantial evidence can be found for even an isolated appearance of Rempels in the low-German linguistic regions.(1)
The generally-held view(2) is that the name Rempel derives from the Gothic "Raganbold/Ragenbald", but this view could be challenged(3). Regardless of the view one chooses, however, we are talking about an early Germanic name. This name (that is, Raganbold/Ragenbald) is one of those that identifies a lot of unrelated people, because it was a baptismal name, not meant for identification of separate persons, but for a whole group of people. The name Rempel, must also have been inherited, however, because after Raganbold/Ragenbald disappeared as a baptismal name, it suddenly reappeared in the 13th or 14th century as a first name. The only reasonable explanation for the survival of what earlier was a baptismal name, is that it not only became inherited, but became one of the characteristically assigned names for that generation(4). It is worth noting that Rempel is one of those unusual first names which has been consistently spelled(5).
