The Bruce L. Bakers of Comfort, TX
Bruce Baker Family Tree my Great Grandfather William Baker. Son of David Baker, Bakersville N.C. He was born in North Carolina in about 1810 and was moving to Iowa in December 1852 and died along the way. My grand father Thomas Andrew Baker,his sisters and mother Matilda continued on to Columbus Junction, Iowa. The Thomas A. Baker family moved to Ellsworth, Kansas in 1876 and lived there till 1898 when they moved to Oklahoma. The family lived in Watonga until Thomas died in 1920 and Jennie died in 1930. The family dispersed to Colorado and California in later years. Bruce B. Baker returned to Okla in 1953 and stayed there till he died in 1979. |

FUQUA/BUSH/HARRY/PRUETT FAMILIES
Shadrick Bush was born in Caswell Co. NC ca 1804. His children were George A. Bush, Calvin Bush and Lucy Bush. The family livd in Sullivan, Hamilton and Rutherford Counties in TN in the 1840's through 1880. Shadrick Bush's son, George A. Bush, married Delitha Collins. Delitha's parents were Charles Collins and Nancy ?. George was killed during the Civil War and Delitha moved to Texas following his death. Their son William Bush was married to Mary Peak, whose father was Simmons Peak and mother was Delila Nugent. William died in Rutherford Co. TN in 1885. John Fuqua born ca 1739 was married to Anna Harrison, whose father Thomas Harrison died in Caswell Co. NC in 1789. John Fuqua and Anna Harrison had a son, John Fuqua whose second wife was Lucy ?. They lived in Pontotoc Co. MS. Their son, Armstead Fuqua, married Nancy Josephine Roberson in Pontotoc Co. Her parents were William Roberson born in SC ca 1815 and wife Parmelia (Owens?) who was also born in SC. Parmelia died in MS ca 1845. William Thomas Pruett was born 1875 in Jackson Co. AL. I believe his father was a Thomas Pruett and mother Lucinda Sharpe. William Thomas Pruett married Louella Samantha Harry in Sulphur Springs, TX in 1900. Louella (Lula) was the daughter of John Harry and Nancy Marlow, who were both born in GA. John's father and mother were Thomas A. Harry and Sophia Morgan, who were also from GA. John's origins go back to Wales around 1700. |
