GROZIER-- The early Groziers were seafaring; Captains and crew members of transport ships and fishing vessels. My Grandfather, Daniel Grozier went to sea as a Cabin boy at the age of eight. He retired from the sea when he was in his early thirties. HOPKINS-- This line of the tree goes back to Stephen Hopkins of the Ship Mayflower. SCHUTT-- They originated in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and came to America in 1874. SCHROTH--This family was from Baden, Germany and came to America by 1855. PEAL--Came to America in 1835 to New Jersey. The ancestor of our line came to Cincinnati about 1854. They were from Engter by Osnabrick, Hanover, Germany.
