My great grandparents came to the USA in 1888; my great grandmother (Barbara Wolkerstorfer) was from Pamhagen, Austria; and my great grandfather (John Bauer) was from Balf, Hungary. my grandmothers side of the family, her name was Rose Deutsch. The Deutsch family came from Pamhagen, Austria, also. After leaving Europe, they settled in St. Martin, Minnesota and later homesteaded near Lake City, SD. There decendants have since spread over the country, most of them are in ND, SD, and MN. |
