Thoreson Family History
Christian Thoreson Kittelsrud, along with Anne Larsdatter Skoien Thoreson, his wife of 10 days, left the Kittelsrud farm in Norway in April 1854. Christian's father Thorer accompanied them. They entered through Canada and settled in Clayton County, Iowa in July. The following July they walked north across the Minnesota border and settled in Fremont Township, Winona County, Minnesota. |
