Jim's Haven fo Close Kin and Kissin\ Cousins
Arkansas: Centering mainly on Franklin Co., but also some of the surrounding counties as well, between 1830 and 1920. Surnames: TURNER, NICELY, DUNN, ANDREWS and collateral families. Tennessee: My hill folk kin inhabited Claiborne, Grainger and Union counties starting around 1800. Surnames: NICELY, DUNN, DAVIS, HURST. NUNN, DAY, NORRIS and many more. But that's just the paternal side. My material line will be centered in Muscatine, Iowa, starting around 1850. Some of the names we\ll be working on are: PURCELL, CONNOR, PARVIN, CHATTERTON and many more. We\ll trace the Purcells back to Virginia where they were involved with RANDOLPH, DOWELL, GLASCOCK, SIMMS. OSBORNE and others. Through the Parvins, we go all the way back to the beginnings of colonization of New England and my most illustrious forebear, the Rev. OBADIAH HOLMES of Newport, Rhode Island. |

The ADAMS Family Genealogy
We are the 'ADAMS' branch that originate in the Nottaway River and Three Creeks, Virginia area as our records indicate. We have hit a road block on 'our' Henry Adams' who was born before 1736 in VA. or NC. We have another Henry Adams who purchased 150 acres on the South side of the Nottaway River and the South side of the Three Creeks, VA. on March 24, 1725. |
