Origin: My g-gf George KNACKSTEDT came to US in the early 1860's. Rumor has it he was accompanied by 11 brothers and one sister. If you know of a large group that came from Germany at that time, I would love to hear from you. Might have IL. roots and ended up in St. Louis, MO. George died in 1915. He was married to Minnie STUHR.

Origin of Nack, Meaning of Nack
Origin: My great-grandfather, Peter Adolf August Schnack, was born in Kappeln, Germany, around 1840. Died in Argentina in 1916. His father was Friedrich Schnack (from Kappeln or generally speaking from Schleswig-Holstein), married to Regina Wacker. Friedrich?s father was Cay or Cai Schnack but we have no additional information.
