My ancestor was Jacob COLEMAN Petty, b. 1801 in NJ. We may be connected to the only other PETTY family in Sussex/Warren County, NJ area in the late 1700s, that of Capt. John and Margaret PETTY. the GREEN family out of Antrim, No. Ireland in 1808 w/ ancestors back to John GREEN who may have come from York, England. This line settled in Belmont Co., OH.
